What wildlife can I expect to see?

The crater is home to nearly all of Tanzania’s major species, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and often the rare black rhino.

Is the crater visit just a drive, or will I be able to walk?

This is primarily a game drive. Due to conservation rules, walking inside the crater is limited, but you’ll have a picnic stop and chances to stretch during breaks.

What should I wear or bring?

Dress in layers (mornings can be chilly), wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen, a hat, and a camera. Binoculars are helpful but optional.
