Climb out of the forest and onto the vast Shira Plateau (3,500m). Enjoy sweeping views of the
surrounding peaks and the plains below. Camp in the open moorland at Shira 1 Camp.

A gentle hike across the Shira Plateau to Shira 2 Camp (3,850m). This day allows your body to adjust to
the thinning air as you marvel at dramatic volcanic landscapes.

Descend slightly to the lush Barranco Valley, home to giant lobelias and impressive rock formations. Set
up camp at Barranco Camp (3,960m), the gateway to the Barranco Wall.

Conquer the famous Barranco Wall a thrilling scramble with breathtaking views. Traverse alpine ridges
to Karanga Camp (4,035m), a perfect spot to rest and acclimatize.

Continue your ascent to Barafu Camp (4,673m), your base camp for the summit night. Prepare and rest in
anticipation of the final push.

Depart at midnight for the summit trek. Witness the magnificent sunrise from Stella Point and reach
Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point on the continent. Descend past Barafu to Mweka Camp (3,100m)
for your last night on the mountain.

Descend through forest to Mweka Gate, receive your summit certificate, and transfer back to Moshi for
relaxation and celebration.
